The Supported Living Specialist provides Peace River Center staff and clients assistance as needed. These services will include finding and securing individual apartments, linkage to community resources as appropriate, and assisting with independent living skills/needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, are strongly recommended for this role.
Essential Duties/Requirements/Activities:

- Attend all scheduled work hours, meetings, training, and other center functions, including on call as required.
- Help recipients find and secure individual apartments.
- Visit the recipients’ apartments to teach functional living skills one – on – one.
- Assist recipients in accessing community resources as appropriate
- As necessary, transport recipients in Peace River Center van.
- Assist recipients in establishing and obtaining personal goals and objectives
- Develop individual service plans.
- Teach recipients functional living skills needed to establish and maintain community residence.
- Teach the recipients problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Manage productivity hours to meet requirements for direct service with recipients.
- Assist recipients in managing their personal finances.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Six months of residential services experience preferred. Peace River Center is a Drug Free workplace and will require an approved DCF Level 2 Background clearance. Be sure to check our job application website for the complete job details.
