About the Presenter

Michelle Miralles has been a Peace River Center Victim’s Services for two and half years. She is a graduate of University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology as a second career after 20 years in hospitality. She first started working at the domestic violence shelter in Polk County. She has been face-to-face with domestic violence with a close friend. This ignited her passion for social work and making sure survivors everywhere know they have options to leave a situation of violence. She has worked with survivors and their children in many different situations.
