Scheduling An Outpatient Therapy Appointment

Individuals interested in becoming Peace River Center clients begin by registering with Outpatient Therapy Services by calling 863.248.3311 to have the registration forms sent via email as a DocuSign. Clients without access to technology may also come into the nearest Outpatient office to pick up the documents.

Scheduling A Wellness Clinic Appointment

Peace River Center’s Wellness Clinic is available to individuals 18 and up, including those with and without behavioral health diagnosis. Our Wellness Clinic care team members include Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Nurses, and registration staff. They strive to educate you on health matters and engage you in your health journey, empowering you to meet your health goals. Insurance

The Registration Department will record your insurance information if applicable, income qualifications, and co-payment amount. Peace River Center accepts most Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance. Please click here for a current list or call 863.248.3311 to verify your insurance.

Self-Pay

If you do not have insurance, you will need to provide proof of income, and the Registration Team will see if you qualify for Peace River Center’s sliding scale fees. Depending on your geographical area, you may qualify for the FAMCare program.

Next Steps: Brief BHSE Appointment, Then Initial Intake

Once the registration paperwork has been completed, you will be scheduled for a brief (normally 15 to 30 minutes) Behavioral Health Screening Evaluation (BHSE). This will help the therapist determine if you meet the criteria for services. You should bring your photo ID, insurance cards, social security card, and proof of income (if applicable).

Following the brief BHSE appointment, the therapist will schedule you for an intake session. Please note due to demand your initial intake appointment may be scheduled from a few weeks to a month out. The initial intake appointment is around an hour long.

If medication is needed, you will be scheduled for a Psychiatric Evaluation (normally 45 minutes or longer depending on translation service needs, etc.) with one of our medication providers following your initial intake appointment. Medication follow-up appointments are normally 15 to 30 minutes long.
