Peace River Center’s employees were surveyed about the reasons they enjoy working for Peace River Center. The overarching reasons listed were the friendly staff and atmosphere, enjoyment of their co-workers, and the fact that they are helping others and restoring lives.
Our work culture is created by all the life experiences of each of our employees. It is diverse. It is supportive. It is friendly. Our culture is influenced by the organization’s Board of Directors, executives, and other managerial staff who shape our strategic direction. However, those who make the real difference and impact on our community are our employees who work “hands on” with the people we serve.
Our employees like to have fun, too. Peace River Center has a voluntary fun committee called PEEPS which is an acronym for Promoting Employee Enthusiasm through Play and Service. Some of the recent activities sponsored by PEEPS are a Throwback Party for employees and their guests, a holiday family picnic, and an office door decorating contest.
