Peace River Center Recovery Services to be Represented at Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market on October 29, 2011
Posted on 10/24/2011
Peace River Center Recovery Services will be participating in the Downtown Farmers Curb Market located at 200 N. Kentucky Ave in Lakeland on Saturday, October 29 from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. Several people will be prepared to share their recovery story and encourage others to learn more about behavioral health recovery.
“Mental health and substance abuse issues have long been stigmatized, but it’s incredible to see how Recovery efforts benefit the whole of society. People who may have struggled for most of their lives find that they are healthier, more fulfilled, and able to contribute more productively to their communities. Taxpayer dollars and, most importantly, lives are saved through Recovery programs” says Heather Stambaugh, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services Manager at Peace River Center.
Recovery benefits everyone. Therefore, Peace River Center offers multiple services designed to make recovery a reality for persons with serious mental illness and substance abuse. Peace River Center Recovery Services will offer free information, reusable bags, pinwheels and stickers for children. For more information, please contact Heather Stambaugh at 863-413-2566.
