He is aware of the impact mental illness, addictions, abuse, and emotional distress make not only on the suffering individuals, but also of the impact on the families, the community, law enforcement and the entire judicial system. Thus, we are privileged to name him our Legislator of the Year on behalf of our Board of Directors, our employees and the people we serve. He is indeed a true friend of the people we serve.”
